"Mr. Fitzpatrick is an absolutely amazing music instructor! I have 2 older teenagers who take lessons from him. One for guitar and the other for piano! Mr. Fitzpatrick is extremely patient and very encouraging each week, even when they don’t practice what they’re supposed to…:-). He uses everything as a teaching tool and experience while refocusing them on the importance of the foundation of their lessons, and gives them that “push” when they need it. He teaches much more than just note reading, he helps them develop their ear in music which is very rare to find. Even though both of my boys are in different places musically, they have grown tremendously. My boys are eager to move forward to the next level which is so exciting to see(as a music person myself). Not only is Mr. Fitzpatrick a VERY talented musician himself, he’s equally talented in teaching! We’re so happy we made the decision to put our boys in lessons!"
"I’ve known Forrest for years, and I credit him for getting me around the right people which led to my professional songwriting career. He asked me to join his singing trio and the rest is history. Forrest has so much talent, and coupled with his fun personality, I can see why his private music lessons are so successful. I highly recommend working with Forrest whether it be in person or by internet. (Yes, you can live somewhere other than our hometown). Take him up on his free lesson offer, and you’ll see what I mean."
"With well over 40 years of my life invested in professional Gospel Music recording, I am uniquely and undoubtedly qualified to recommend a music teacher. I am honored to recommend Forrest Fitzpatrick to any music student regardless of their ability. If you are fortunate enough to secure him as your teacher, you WILL grow as a musician! All musicians, from beginners to professionals, can benefit from his years of experience. Contact him today and if he has a teaching slot available, and if you really want to go to the next level, jump at the privilege of working with him. You Will Not Regret It!"
"My wife and I love music. We have both been involved in music ministry for over (25) years. We feel music is a unique gift given by God for our good and His glory. Music and song is unique as it has been scientifically proven to affect the brain and inner spirit of a person unlike anything else. It goes deeper than the ears. It is the best way to engage the mind for memorization and cognitive development. Melodies will last in our memories the longest. The vibrations, harmonies, melodies, rhythms, & beats move people to a deeper level than just words alone. Like most gifts and blessings, music can be used to promote good or it can be used in an opposite way. Becoming a musician is a craft that takes time, practice, and a good teacher is highly recommended.
We have three children and one of our goals was to share our love of music and worship with our kids. Our oldest son is in his 5th year of piano lessons with Forrest Fitzpatrick. We have recently added voice lessons as well. Our middle son has taken a variety of lessons (piano, ukulele, guitar). Our daughter is taking beginner piano currently.
My favorite aspect of Forrest's teaching is the kids have never lost their passion and love of the art. It is still fun for them. This is critical because if a student loses desire or passion, continued lessons are to no lasting avail. Our kids enjoy the lessons. It's not grueling or arduous for them. Oftentimes, they will find a song they enjoy and Forrest will help them achieve their goal of learning it. The cost isn't cheap, but we know this investment will be with them for the rest of their lives. Any other sport or recreational activity that that our kids would engage in would be seasonal and short-lived compared to the lasting gift of music. There are others who give lessons in our community, but no one who has more passion for music education and a better track record for retaining that spark of enthusiasm in the student than Forrest. I recommend trying a lesson or two with Forrest to see if you agree. After all, a few lessons to help nourish the love of music is better than years of lessons where passion is squelched. "
"Our son has been taking piano lessons from Forrest for 4 years and the progress he’s made is amazing! Our son has special needs, and prior to Forest, we had difficulty finding a piano teacher who was comfortable working with him.
Forrest is so patient and with his expertise and kindness, they have made an incredible bond, we are very blessed to have found him. My son has gained so much knowledge and confidence that he enjoys playing for others in our church and the senior center. We would highly recommend Forrest for your musical needs!"
"Forrest is well-versed in many styles of music and a gifted teacher who can help you achieve your goals. His integrity is what I would consider one of his greatest assets. He is trustworthy and a hard worker and can encourage you to reach your greatest potential. "
"I just want to give a shout out to my piano instructor, Forrest Fitzpatrick. I met Forrest at the church we attended together several years ago. Forrest was the Choir director. I just liked sit back and listened to that beautiful choir and the more I listened the more I wanted to join them. So I did, I was a complete novice at singing I didn’t even know what part to sing. Forrest brought us all together as a unit, each with their own talents. I was amazed how he took a song that no one knew and turned it into a beautiful melody. I also have two daughters that Forrest worked with to sing solos. I just started taking piano lessons with Forrest a few months ago, and I am so pleased at the progress I have made already. I still have a ways to go but I know I will learn lots more. Forrest is very patient, dependable and good at what he does I would recommend Forrest for piano or voice lessons. If he can teach me he can bring you to love music as I do."
"In my opinion if you can play piano, then you can teach I, but it takes a special teacher to inspire a student to LOVE music. Forrest Fitzpatrick teaches piano but more importantly he teaches MUSIC. One learns to play and understand theory. Forrest is naturally a kind, loving person and that translates to his teaching method. Forrest cares about his students and encourages them to enjoy their lessons, playing and performing. I encourage anyone wishing to play piano to choose a professional teacher, Forrest Fitzpatrick."
"My kids have been taking piano from Forrest for about 15 months. In that time, they have learned so much about the piano and music in general. He is very patient with them and has a great sense of humor during lessons. We plan to continue our musical journey with Forrest as they grow up! "
"I started taking lessons with Forrest about a year and a half ago, at 40 years old. I had been playing in church for several years solely by ear, but had reached a standstill in my music because I had no foundation. When I started taking lessons, I asked Forrest if he could help me add depth without having to learn to read music. He has done just that! Forrest has worked with me on inversions, foundational knowledge, and singing. I love all kinds of Christian music, and Forrest has helped me add depth to southern gospel, contemporary, and country-style Christian music. He is one of the most talented and knowledgeable musicians I’ve ever met, and he can tailor his lessons to your desires. Often, I bring him printed songs that I want to learn. We first figure out what key I sing it in, then write in the chords, and then add richness and depth to it. Regardless of what song or style of music I bring to his studio, he helps me reach depth in it, which is exactly what I hoped to find when I first inquired about lessons. Forrest has a great personality and is a fantastic musician, singer, and instructor. "
"Wow! Amazing! Brilliant! PATIENT! These are just a few adjectives I can use to describe Forrest. My son, Cole has been taking lessons from Forrest for about 3 years now and Cole has loved every second of them! My son has always had a strong love for music (piano & singing) so we decided it was time to cultivate his talent. The problem was that we didn't have many local music teachers in our area so, the hunt was on. I met Forrest many years ago through his wife and I always thought "I wish Forrest lived closer so my son could take lessons from him" Forrest lives in W.V. and we are in OH about 4 hours from each other so I never thought it feasible. I was telling Forrest about this one day and he said "what about lessons via facetime?" What a great idea! I wondered if it would be strange or if my son would need that "in-person" experience but lessons over facetime have been so convenient and easy, they never miss a beat! I could go on and on about how great Forrest has been with Cole, but for now I'll say, if you're on the fence about music lessons for your children (or yourself) do it, you will not be disappointed!"
"My son and I started going to Forrest for music lessons a couple years ago. I started first as I was worried that we didn’t have enough coverage at church for a piano player. Well, I don’t play piano so I needed to learn and Forrest was above and beyond accommodating and patient with an almost 50-year-old student, I was bringing my son to the music lessons and that is where he first mentioned that he would like to learn to play something also. So I credit Forrest with for showing my son a love for music so much so that he would want to learn to play also. Micah decided that he wanted to learn how to play ukulele and performed at his first recital this past spring. To say that I am proud of him is an understatement. To say that I am thankful to God for sending Forrest our way doesn’t do him justice. Watching Forrest with all of his students during the recital was heartwarming. He goes above and beyond as an educator, and as a friend to each of us. Forrest will go at his students speed, he is never in a rush, and he always appraises his students for even the smallest of accomplishments. I know Micah and I can’t imagine learning music from anyone else, but Forrest Fitzpatrick."
